The Embodiment of My Five Senses

  1. finalencore:

.::Milo + Otis, 6.1.12::.
Chicago based duo Milo + Otis took the stage at Atlanta’s own Vinyl to showcase their fresh take on contemporary soul music.  Milo + Otis consists of Jamila Woods (Milo) + Owen Hill (Otis) who both met at + attended Brown University.  The duo equally share + bring amazing talent to the table in terms of their individual musical prowess.  Woods is a nationally recognized spoken word artist, honing her skills during her undergrad days.  This experience translates to thought provoking, witty lyrics to accompany the genre hopping music that Hill creates for us to hear.  Multitalented, Hill played the bass during the showcase in addition to composing + producing all of the duo’s music.
During the show, they performed a mix of their own songs from their album The Joy in addition to a groovy cover of Frank Ocean’s heartfelt track “Thinking About You.” Together, Milo + Otis are taking to the road to show the country what their unique brand of indie R+B is all about.
